Keep America Beautiful and Dollar Tree Partner to Create Cleaner, Stronger Communities Across the US

Partnership supports associate volunteer events, community-driven litter solutions, and innovative local leadership

STAMFORD, Conn., Oct. 05, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Keep America Beautiful and Dollar Tree today announced a new national partnership to reduce litter, improve public spaces, and bring people together to care for their communities across the country.

As part of the partnership, Dollar Tree is supporting the Greatest American Cleanup, Keep America Beautiful’s national campaign to clean and beautify communities in celebration of America’s 250th birthday. Dollar Tree associates will also participate in volunteer projects in 25 cities across the United States through the end of 2026.

In addition, Dollar Tree is funding initiatives to help communities address litter challenges identified in the 2026 National Litter Study, including the Litter Solution Grant Program and the Keep America Beautiful Love Our Community Recognition Award.

“We are grateful to Dollar Tree for this new partnership and for the support they are providing to advance our work,” said Jennifer Lawson, President and CEO of Keep America Beautiful. “This investment will help turn promising ideas into action and solutions to reduce litter and create cleaner, greener, more beautiful communities all across America.”

Through the Litter Solution Grant Program, selected communities will receive resources to address local litter challenges through prevention, behavior change, beautification, waste reduction, and other locally driven solutions.

The Keep America Beautiful Love Our Community Recognition Award will provide $50,000 in grants to support mayors, county commissioners, and other local government leaders advancing innovative, data-informed approaches to litter reduction. The program will help communities put promising ideas into action, scale effective solutions, and share successful approaches that can be replicated in communities across the country. “We are proud to partner with Keep America Beautiful to turn kindness into action in the communities where our associates live and work,” said Jennifer Silberman, Chief Sustainability and Corporate Affairs Officer, Dollar Tree. “By creating meaningful opportunities for our associates to take action and supporting local leaders to develop innovative solutions to address litter, we can help build cleaner, stronger communities across the country.”

Keep America Beautiful works with volunteers, local governments, corporate partners, and a network of more than 730 community-based affiliates to reduce litter, improve recycling, plant trees, revitalize neighborhoods, and beautify public spaces nationwide.

“Cleaning up a park or improving a neighborhood may begin with a single project, but the value goes well beyond that,” Lawson said. “These efforts bring people together around a shared place and give them a meaningful way to show how much their communities matter to them.”
